…you need to accurately describe the type of scampi you are serving and not mislead your customers

What products are in the Exciting Foods range?

SINGLE WHOLETAIL SCAMPI

A proper single whole tail of scampi
AND…
If the pack says “with added water” then the scampi itself is more than 10% water (this is added during manufacture)

“…Scampi..” or “…Single Wholetail…” or “…Dublin Bay Prawn…”
BUT…
If you are using a “…with added water…” product you need to put this also on your menu description

WHOLETAIL or WHOLE SCAMPI

Each scampi piece contains upto 3 small wholetails of scampi
AND…
If the pack says “with added water” then the scampi itself is more than 10% water (this is added during manufacture)

“…a cluster of scampi tails..”
You can’t just say “…scampi…” or “…single wholetail…”
BUT…
If you are using a “…with added water…” product you need to put this also on your menu description

Here you are serving pieces of scampi tail that have been formed into a scampi shape by a machine

BUT…
If you are using a “…with added water…” product you need to put this also on your menu description

The scampi has been through a mincer then formed into scampi shapes in a machine.

The manufacturer has bulked out the scampi with whitefish or something else then formed it into scampi shapes in a machine
AND…
If the pack says “with added water” then the scampi itself is more than 10% water (this is added during manufacture)

BUT…
If you are using a “…with added water…” product you need to put this also on your menu description
